A lot has changed since my last entry. I left school. My dog and I moved in with my mother for a while. I took a trip out to Seattle to visit a friend, apply for a job and decide for sure if I wanted to live there. After about a month of design tests, two in person interviews and another over the phone, I did get the job. I drove from Florida to Seattle in about 6 days by myself with a neurotic dog who eventually had to be given a sedative because she wouldn't stop shaking. I started the job in February.

It's a dream job for me, designing video games. I love it, I don't mind the sometimes long hours. But I do regret no longer being able to focus so much on my art. I miss enameling. I'm afraid I'll always look back at last summer with envy. There is the Pratt Art Center out here, I've contacted them and I can use their studio for a fee, once I've been oriented. I just first have to actually get my mom to send me my enamels and tools, and then I have to find the time on a weeked or something to go. Which shouldn't be a problem. I've been working weekends lately, but that usually isn't the case. Usually I'm just too busy playing World of Warcraft but now that my main character has hit 60 the game has loosened its hold a bit, and I think I can tear myself away on a free Saturday to go create.

It's between one breath and the next, in those moments of silence, that we discover the beautiful and the awful truths about ourselves.
